The primary objective in Neverball is to collect a number of coins and reach an exit before the timer runs out. The ball is controlled by using the mouse to tilt the playing area. Neverball comes with several level suites which increase in difficulty and is supported by a community of mappers who distribute their Neverball maps online. From the in-game music to the simplistic interface and well crafted maps, Neverball carries a sense of quality and polish that few Open Source games have achieved at so early a version. At this point in time, Neverball comes with a 'sub-game' called Neverputt.

Nethack follows the travels of an adventurer through the Mazes of Menace, beyond the Valley of Gehnnom to find the Amulet of Yendor (and escape again alive). Nethack comes in a few flavours. While Nethack itself is rendered using text characters, there are many graphical versions available. Even though it is over 20 years old, Nethack is still a very popular game. With newer graphical versions still being worked on, Nethack remains accessible to modern audiences.
